About the Work This role offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced senior radio executive to continue to develop this iconic media organization in Central Australia. For a strong leader with extensive experience in radio broadcasting, CAAMA is rich in potential with a strong brand and an impressive track record of contributions to Indigenous culture, media, filmmaking and music. Initial challenges included a focus on optimizing CAAMA Radio and ‘attacking’ new technology systems; and further strengthen and unify the staff team. The new CEO will be involved in finalizing strategic plans, leveraging CAAMA’s great legacy of community engagement, revitalizing the brand and continuing to build a strong and powerful indigenous media organization. This opportunity will appeal to experienced CEOs as well as senior radio executives stepping into their first CEO roles. About You We are looking for experienced senior executives with significant media communications experience, who have vision, financial management and governance capabilities. Your ability to optimize and lead teams and facilitate innovative development will be critical. In addition to highly developed communication and negotiation skills and practical management abilities, you will have a sound understanding of government funding systems, budget and cash flow management, and a strong network of industry contacts. Knowledge and understanding of indigenous issues and cultures and the ability to communicate effectively with Aboriginal people are essential; and you need to demonstrate a commitment to promoting the strengths and abilities of individuals and communities, both professionally and personally, to give real value to this role. An attractive salary package of approximately $220,000 will be negotiated with successful candidates which includes vehicle, telephone and relocation allowances, 5 weeks annual leave, and salary sacrifice opportunities.
