Global Renewable Energy Education Network (GREEN) Upstate High School will open as the new tenant of BridgeWay Station in Mauldin this fall.
The charter high school focuses on STEM education and renewable energy, and the Mauldin location will be its sixth location in the state. There are two other locations in Greenville, an elementary school on Pelham Road and a middle school on Century Drive. Other locations are in Spartanburg, Irmo and North Charleston.
“Our new Bridgeway Station campus is an exciting next step in our efforts to serve more students on our campuses,” CEO Tom Cronin said in a statement.

BridgeWay Station is being built on Bridges Road off Interstate 385 and will include retail, residential, industrial and office space. There will also be open space, parks and a proposed pedestrian bridge to connect development across the area with the future extension of the Swamp Rabbit Trail.
The 1,200-employee company was founded in 1975 and operates in Alabama, Georgia, Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia.
