Eastside Early Learning Center – We strive to provide a home away from home. The foundation of our children’s curriculum is the relationship that caregivers build with each child and family. While no one can replace mom or dad, our caregivers are truly dedicated to each child, providing a safe and nurturing environment. Children in our program feel safe exploring their surroundings, as they gain self-confidence as they grow.
For children, we provide individual forms of eating, sleeping and playing. As the children grow, we adapt to their needs for a more regular schedule. We encourage breastfeeding moms to stop breastfeeding if your schedule allows.
Eastside Early Learning Center
Children in our youngest classrooms have daily opportunities to explore materials in ways that are meaningful to them. While there are many large group activities that most classes participate in, most of the day is spent in independent exploration and parallel play. The teacher manages the environment by selecting specific toys and materials that will support the development of targeted skills, and allows children to access and investigate these materials in their own way, with adult support if necessary.

The development assessment is conducted twice a year, in October and March. These assessments give us important information about each child’s strengths and potential focus for lesson planning. We are proud to employ two university early childhood teachers to deliver our Queensland Government approved Kindergarten program. Our friendly teachers have 15 years of experience between them in providing excellent learning.

Our service is open during the same hours as Gumdale Public School OSHC (Out of School Hours Care). This helps facilitate drop-off and pick-up for our families with children in school and school.

We offer full-time family care sessions for our families. These daily 10-hour slots (generally 7:00am to 5:00pm Monday through Friday) ensure that our full-time families receive their full 100 hours of care throughout the fortnight. This initiative supports our families in increasing their CCS entitlements throughout the fortnight and reducing their out-of-pocket costs.
