With a glass of prosecco in one hand, we made our way to the end of the corridor on the 18th floor, where the Presidential Bellerive Suite, room number 1804, awaited.

Most hotel rooms are a bit small, but the Bellerive (their epic 1-bedroom Presidential Suite) feels like home with room service and views of the city skyline! The lounge has designer chairs as well as 2 luxurious cream sofas (which cleverly convert into sofa beds) so there is plenty of space for a fun sleepover or girls party. A spa bath takes at least 45 minutes to fill, allowing you to pamper yourself with the usual coffee table books. The entire palette of luxe creams, soft grays and warm woods is just as dreamy.
If your budget doesn’t stretch to the Presidential Suite (we’d say the $1K price tag is pretty reasonable compared to other luxury options in town), don’t worry, the hotel’s other rooms have the same dreamy palette. If you’re looking for a mini city break with your loved one, the entry-level Superior Rooms and Premium Rooms have twin queen bed options.
If you can tear yourself away from your room, instead of shielding you from it, the hotel boldly brings the outside in, with one side of the hotel opening onto the streets and the “village” of Chippendale. Armchairs for lounging under the stars, with the Alfredo back door.
Enjoy more at the Malt Bar, where you can try the Sydney brewery’s rare ‘Chippend-ale’. Brewing is a salute to heritage with the Kent Brewery chimney, which sits a few meters above the entrance and celebrates 200 years of history this year. The cocktail list is also impressive.
