Fully Frameless Sliding Shower Door – Rated 4 out of 5 by RubyConstruct from Nice shower door for $$ I recently ordered this door for a project. I ordered it on Friday and received it on Monday. I did not expect such a responsive posting time. The product was everything I expected from the picture and description. Nice finish with chrome cutting and the rollers run smoothly. This door has the same design as the more expensive door. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 for the following reasons: The rails are not very stiff, they bend a little when the weight of the door swings. One of the lower rollers is not aligned to touch the rail so it rotates when the door moves, but the other rollers touch and rotate when the door moves. Rail brackets are difficult to adjust to the correct height due to their design. Installation instructions are for 60 inch doors that do not have a second fixed panel and smaller. The rail system below could use an upgrade, it is very difficult to seal everything so that water does not pool in the rail.

I bought this particular bathroom window because it was the only one I could find that would fit the space without having to custom order it. I LOVE this door. It’s wonderful. The ClearMax coating is amazing. The door is easy to clean and tidy. The rollers work well. Some note that it requires 2×6 blocking due to the weight of the door. We didn’t put that door up. We asked our contractor to install it and they hired 3 people. Don’t do it at the door if you don’t have good friends.

The instructions that come with the device are not very clear on how to install it. I plan to install it myself. Luckily my friend is a professional installer. Both doors look good. One door had a small imperfection.

Footprints collect water, mold develops and breaks the silicone seal that is applied over time. need to create an updated structure to hold the glass.

We have a 30 x 60 shower and with a sliding door we have a narrow 26 x 60 shower. Otherwise it’s a nice flow and we like it.

Installation was very easy, the only instructions were to leave the corner guard as long as you can while installing the door and get a strong friend to help!
In addition to the one inch rail on the bottom, should there be a longer rail on the bottom?
Note that this model, the Enigma, has been discontinued and has been in use for a long time. The bottom rail actually requires 3-3/4″ for the Enigma model. In the current product line, the closest approach to the Enigma shower door is the Enigma-XO which does not use the bottom rail, but requires 2-3/4″ of space. threshold for lower guide bar.

With a 54″ bath mat you will need an Enigma-XO 50-54, which is the same as the Enigma but 3/8″ class and will work with a 54″ bath mat.
