Map Of Burleigh Heads Gold Coast – It was my first weekend after my trip to the Kingdom of Tonga and the weather was nice so I decided to go out and relax. Today I chose Burleigh Head National Park.

Burleigh Heads is a section of beach at the southern end of Queensland’s Gold Coast. The national park is located next to the stream.
The Gold Coast Is Not Just Theme Parks And Beaches
From the Gold Coast Highway, I took the trail along the side of Tallebudgera Creek with people fishing on one side and sunbathing on the other.
The ‘trail’ is little more than a sealed trail and is suitable for wheelchair access, making it a class 2 route.
The trail continues around the base of the national park or within it. I went in and started up a fairly steep hill. Although most of the national park is rainforest, I loved the beautiful rock outcrops and boulders along the trail. After a decent climb up the steep path, I reached the Tumgun lookout and scanned the coast to the south.
The descent from the lookout leads to the beach and contains several sets of short stairs until it emerges at the end of Burleigh Heads Beach and offers views along the Gold Coast.

I got back on the road to an intersection and headed behind the national park, which wasn’t as beautiful as the other way.
Returning to the creek, I followed the walk further down around the base of the national park for another lower view of the beach before heading back to the car and home.
