Meredith House And Mews – Meredith House and Mews of Swansea, on Tasmania’s east coast, offers traditional bed-and-breakfast accommodation in a house built in 1853 with modern touches like free WiFi. The six bathrooms in the Georgian-style National Trust house are decorated in warm, period colors and furnished with handcrafted antique red cedar furniture. There are views over the historic seaside town of Swansea and Great Oyster Bay to the Freycinet Peninsula. A spacious veranda provides fresh shade and the house is surrounded by gardens, with a barbecue and laundry facilities. Adjacent to the main house are four independent mews-style studios, three with spas. The city itself is home to the East Coast Heritage Museum, which highlights the region’s heritage. There are a number of excellent restaurants and cafes to showcase the region’s produce. Within easy reach are the hiking and wildlife of Freycinet National Park or Maria Island, the East Coast Natural World, the popular Bicheno Penguin promenade, the cool-climate East Coast vineyards, a variety of beautiful beaches and numerous golf courses. Meredith House has been an accommodation establishment since 1901 and continues its fine tradition of hospitality.

LMBs can be booked within one week of the holiday start date.
