You can customize the look of your invoices and estimates by choosing pre-designed templates, adding your business logo and choosing the colors you want to use. The look you choose will automatically be used for all invoices and estimates you print or email to customers. The appearance can be changed at any time.
Customised Xero Templates
When managing your invoice, you can also add payment terms, standard email messages, and payment methods. Some options, such as the company logo and payment information, will also appear on customer statements.
To ensure that your company logo is best reproduced in MYOB Essentials documents, we recommend that the graphics you upload:
1. Depending on whether you include items or amounts in invoices and estimates, you can choose a layout type that shows only the fields you use.
A.Goods and Services – This allows you to enter amounts on each line of invoices and estimates

B.Services – This allows you to enter a description on each row and does not include columns for items or sums. This gives a simple and clear look to date-based maintenance or professional maintenance
Geek Tip 2: Using the goods and services layout options can be helpful to speed up invoice entry time. You can prepare products that you use all the time that have a description, account code and invoice amount. You still have the option to edit the information you have filled out if necessary.
Geek Tip 3: Make sure you hit the green Save button when you’re working with your invoice settings.
Here you can customize the look of your invoices and estimates by adding your logo and choosing a theme and color.

Geek Tip 4: If you know the hex code for the title color, you can enter it in the text box. For a professional touch, it is better to use the color of the header image or logo.

1. On the Payment Option tab, you choose how long the customer has to pay you and enter payment details that will appear at the bottom of the invoice, making it easy to pay.

B. Days from the end of this month: The invoice will be issued to determine the number of days from the end of the month in which it was issued
C. Number of days from invoice date: Invoices must be issued a specified number of days after the invoice date.
3. Payment Method Details: In the Payment Method section of the Payment Options tab, you select the options you want to include in the Payment Method section of the invoice issued to the customer. You can add details for direct deposit and mail
4. Online Invoices: Choose whether you want to email invoices directly from MYOB Essentials by selecting Use Online Invoices. You can also choose whether you want to enable PDF attachments to allow customers to download PDF copies of emailed invoices.

Geek Tip 6: Online invoicing is a great feature. Using online invoicing gives you the ability to monitor activity on the invoices you send. When you view the invoice, it will show you:
1. Here you can set the default email text sent with invoices and estimates when you send emails to customers
A. Default Invoice Email: Edit the text of the email, personalize it to your liking. You can use variables such as customer names, business details, or information about invoices or estimates you’ve sent
B.Variables can be entered by clicking the cursor on the message text you want to display and then clicking a variable from the list on the right.

Geek Tip 7: If you made a mistake and want to go back to a previously saved version of your email, click Clear Changes. You can customize the look and feel of your invoices and estimates by choosing the designed template and color you want to use. The theme you choose for invoices and estimates will automatically be used for all invoices printed and sent to customers until you choose to change it.
You can also enter details about how the customer can pay you. This information will be included in the “Payment Method” section of your bill.
And if you send invoices and estimates to your customers by email, you can change the default content of emails that are sent with estimates or invoices.
Depending on whether you include items or amounts on invoices and estimates, you can choose a layout type that shows only the fields you use.
Printable Invoice Template
On the Layout Type tab of the Billing and Pricing Settings page, you can choose the layout type that best suits your business:
When you select a layout, a sample appears showing the fields that will be available for use on invoices and estimates, as well as some other information so you can decide if the layout is right for you.
Note that once you select a layout, it will be used for all invoices and estimates until you change it on this page. You cannot change it when you enter an invoice or quote.
In the Default Payment Terms section of the Payment Options tab, select the default payment terms you want to display on your invoice. You can change these terms for individual invoices when entering invoices, but future invoices will always use the default terms set here.
Invoice Payment Portal
In the Payment Method section of the Payment Options tab, you select the options you want to include in the Payment Method section of the invoice you provide to the customer. You can add details for direct deposit and mail. For more information, see details on setting up a payment method below.
You can change the number of days until the invoice is due by entering a new number of days in the Payment Terms field when creating the invoice. MYOB Essentials will remember your preferences for future invoices. You can also add other payment details in the Notes section of the invoice. For more information, see To create an invoice.
