Premier Inn Singapore Beach Road Reviews

Premier Inn Singapore Beach Road Reviews – 2019 reminded me of a great vacation, so this made me want to burn my overdue 50D, even if it means hotel prices are by now almost back to pre-Covid levels. But there was really no other option to spend the overdue D$ outside of the stay, so here goes.

I decided to do a separate review for this stay because I experienced a different type of room. It’s mostly about the room and the experience, as the facilities remain the same – but little did I know how different my experience would be this time around.

(Sorry, the pictures are a bit incomplete as I ran into some issues, but more pictures of the public areas of the property are available in my previous Urban Suite review)

Cheap Hotels In Singapore ($10 A Night!) Updated 2022 Promos

My previous experience at this property was in 2011. With the recent renovation and the glowing pictures and reviews online, I decided to take advantage of the Amex Plat offer of $100 for every $300 spent at the Pan Pacific Group of Hotels, which includes Parkroyal properties. And stacking my GHA Black gains was definitely a bonus!

In the background, I saw that their Facebook announced a 5-day promotion More Joy with Spring in early January, which talks about a guaranteed upgrade of club rooms. I jumped in and clicked on the link they were advertising but couldn’t find any mention of an upgrade during the booking process. Since it was a non-refundable booking, I didn’t want to take my chances and commented on their post asking for clarification. But I was stonewalled. until the last day of the promotion. I decided to use Facebook Messenger to try to clarify again and this time I got a reply that they would check. Their next response was that the hotel “does not participate in guaranteed club room upgrades” and apologized for the miscommunication. I wrote to express my disappointment at how this happened – they apologized again and said they could guarantee a club upgrade for my booking. When Park Hotel Group first announced the introduction of the Destination brand, they didn’t say whether. It will be a brand new property opening this year, or simply a rebrand. Premier Inn Singapore Beach Road seems to have quietly changed its destination on Singapore Beach Road to a more muted color scheme (in the rooms) but kept the same affordable price.

Unlike the other Singapore Park and Grand Park hotels, Destination Singapore Beach Road caters to a different set of travelers – those looking for more value and less peripheral benefits. There appear to be four main room types, the largest of which (19 square meters) is a family room that can accommodate 2 adults and 2 children (with a sofa bed).

Hyatt Centric Melbourne marks the first opening of the Hyatt Centric brand in Australia – 500 bonus points per night until 30 June 2022

Hyatt Centric Melbourne is the first Hyatt Centric branded property in Australia and its prime location in the heart of Melbourne aims to inspire savvy explorers to discover authentic experiences and hidden gems in the dynamic city. Managed by the Pan Pacific Hotel Group, PARKROYAL’s portfolio currently includes 17 hotels, resorts and serviced apartments across Australia and Asia (including properties under development). As a strong advocate of the Pan Pacific brand and having stayed at PARKROYAL on Pickering Street and PARKROYAL Kuala Lumpur, I decided to spend the weekend at PARKROYAL on Beach Road, located between Haji Lane and Arab Street. Also very accessible by public transport – five minutes from Nicol Highway MRT station and eight minutes from Bugis MRT station.

To be honest, I didn’t have very high expectations for this property at first and I was pleasantly surprised when I entered this property which looks dull from the outside. Upon entering the lobby I was greeted by a rather nice interior. The staff immediately proceeded with my check-in and I was lucky to have a room even though I arrived at the hotel two hours before the official check-in which is at 15:00. I was given an Orchid Club Premier King Room located on Level Seven (top floor) for this stay.

I had the honor of meeting the property’s Marketing Communications Manager, Ms. Wang, who took time out of her busy schedule to meet with me on Saturday afternoon. He brought me around the property to see the new meeting and conference event spaces, St. Gregory’s Spa, pool and gym, as well as restaurants around the hotel. We had imperial tea at the Tian Fu Tea Room as he told me some interesting facts about the hotel (some of which I will share as part of the review). The homemade dim sum and exceptional Chinese tea here are highly recommended!

The second surprise happened after climbing to the seventh floor. I really liked how the crescent shaped corridor looked. Anyone who knows me well enough will know that natural light is something I really value, so I was really impressed with this naturally lit passage. For some reason, the corridor really reminded me of Crowne Plaza Changi Airport. The air conditioning on this floor seemed rather weak and the elevator lobby was actually quite dirty.

The Orchid Club Premier King Room was 42 square meters, equipped with a king-size Simmons® bed, large desk, ironing board and iron, bathroom with separate bathtub and (rain) shower. The usual things you would expect (eg coffee/tea making facilities). The room didn’t have a Nespresso machine or equivalent and the tea bags provided were from Twinings so I wasn’t interested. However, the room was clean and the quality of the bedding was excellent. Travelers with allergies will be pleased to know that the room I was in was not carpeted.

The size of the desk was large enough to get some work done. It’s also conveniently located near the glass back doors (which open onto a small private balcony) so you can get work done without depending on fluorescent lighting. These rooms were last renovated in 2006 and I thought the entertainment system could use some updating. The size of the TV is a little smaller than I expected and although there is a huge glass on the side that allows you to watch TV while inside, the bathroom did not come with integrated bathroom speakers. The only way I could watch TV and still hear dialogue was by turning up the volume. Also, the air conditioner in the room didn’t seem to work well. Although I was able to set the temperature to 10 degrees Celsius, the room temperature did not drop below 24 degrees during my stay. The weather in Singapore has been pretty erratic lately (in terms of heat) and I would have liked it better if the temperature control actually worked better.
