Retail Jobs Perth Australia – E-commerce giant Amazon Australia is the latest employer in the country to announce a slew of new hires for regular Christmas jobs as businesses across the country gear up for festive shopping.
The online retailer said it plans to hire more than 1,000 seasonal workers to help with the flood of pickup, pack and ship orders expected in the summer months.

Of these, around 400 roles are offered in Sydney, around 600 in Melbourne and around 100 in Brisbane.

Amazon Australia chief operating officer Craig Fuller said the business was proud to offer jobs at a time when many were looking for work.
Mr Fuller said: “We are delighted to be creating jobs across the country when they are most needed.

Seven promising young SHEPHERDS from across Australia have been shortlisted for the National Skilled Championship Butchers Competition in Perth next week.

Anil Bhandari: “It was interesting for me. It was hands-on and I enjoyed learning about all the different meats we processed. I quickly realized that I preferred it to studying at university and if I was going to continue my studies, I wanted to do a course that had a hands-on style of learning. The production managers at Andrews Meats believed in my potential and encouraged me to undertake training which included the completion of a Meat Processing III (Retail Butcher) Certificate. I really enjoyed the way this course was presented at work and in the classroom. I was the only general student in the retail course, so I ended up learning a lot that I wouldn’t have done in my more production-focused job. Retail butchers work mostly in delivery and customer service, and they also need to know how to run a business.
“I chose butchery as a career path because I was fortunate enough to be given the opportunity to work in a butchery at a young age,” he says. “I was offered an internship and I loved it.”
Jake Holmes said that starting at the bottom is like he walked into a butcher shop. “First I started as a laundry boy. It eventually led to my boss asking me if I wanted to be an apprentice. The rest is history.”

“I have gained a lot of confidence and had the opportunity to represent TAFE NSW at media events such as Channel 7’s Sunrise,” Anil said. I also represented TAFE NSW at the regional WorldSkills butchery competition, where I had to butcher and value a whole lamb and prepare it for display.
“The confidence I’ve gained has helped me a lot to share with new students, which I find invaluable. When I compare myself to other people in the workplace who haven’t been to TAFE, “I can see the difference in skills and knowledge. Now I’m in charge of the beef department, which has 20 people.”
Lucci Waters: “The most rewarding part of my job is receiving positive feedback from clients. Putting a new value-added product in the window and watching it sell, and getting that clean bone while it’s improved.
Like Lucci, Jake Holmes also receives great satisfaction from his clients. “Knowing that your customers are happy with what we work so hard to create and deliver.”

Jake Holmes: “One hundred percent. The meat industry is forever changing, so your constant learning and trying to keep up with new things keeps you on your toes and producing a product you know someone will enjoy is a satisfying feeling.
Opening up opportunities was one of the reasons Lochie Waters wanted to encourage people to consider butchery as a career. “I definitely encourage people to consider butchery as a career because it can be very rewarding and take you all over the world.”
Anil Bhandari reflected on how he had the opportunity to build a career and climb the ladder. “As I move into a leadership role in my career, I can share my passion and knowledge and encourage other employees to consider earning a degree as well. Thanks to what I’ve learned through the opportunity to do media events And representing TAFE at WorldSkills, I feel I can be a strong ambassador for vocational education and training. My own experience as a university student who then went on to VET shows the importance of teaching skills that are needed to care for society.
