The Red Flyer Wagon at Riverfront Park is a Spokane icon. When I moved to Spokane it was one of the first places I wanted to go and take pictures. Granted, I went in January, so I waited until spring so I wouldn’t freeze to death on the slide. Laugh out loud! The Red Wagon sculpture was created in 1989 in honor of Washington State’s centennial. It was a gift to Spokane Children from the Junior League of Spokane, several local businesses, and the Spokane Arts Commission.
